Line 6 Edit
VERSION 2.1 for XT - PUBLIC BETA
This is ONLY for PODxt, plus PODxt Live and PODxt Pro with firmware 2.14. Note that it does NOT support Windows ME or Windows 98. This release has been tested with the latest PODxt family audio/MIDI drivers v2.6.8.0, and qualified for MIDI-over-USB operation with these drivers. MIDI interface support will be restored in a future build.
Continue to use Line 6 Edit 2.03 if you own Vetta, Flextone III, HD147, Bass PODxt or POD 2.0, or you use Windows ME or Windows 98.
This is the free tone editor/librarian for Line 6 products, and is a great way to back up your sounds for safekeeping. It gives you onscreen control for all PODxt's sound settings, plus the ability to access an online tone library featuring the signature sounds of the greatest guitarists, bands, songs and gear of all time. Line 6 Edit also provides tone translation between selected Line 6 amp and POD products for guitar.
Drivers
This driver release provides improved MIDI-over-USB functionality and better interaction with Line 6 applications. While there are some fixes for audio application support, more improvements will be made available in the future, pending qualification with key 3rd-party programs. This driver is recommended for any updates performed via USB, as well as use with Line 6 Edit version 2.1.
Flash Memory
Provides support for Amp Defeat toggle as well as implementing the Tone Correction functionality and new Live mode Cab Models provided in PODxt Live. Provides notification to Line 6 Edit version 2.1 when a Save operation has been initiated on the PODxt itself.
