答:
I used my “Green Meanie” Charvel through a Carvin X100B amp with a
Roland SDE-3000 delay and a MXR distortion pedal. Was it hard to get
beat? Ladies and gentlemen, Ralph Macchio is a wonderful actor
– but he did not play one single note of the guitar in the film! All the
slide guider playing you hear is Ry Cooder. All the picked guitar you hear
is me. It's shocking that people think he actually beat me. It's the
movies. It's all fake!
What was difficult was that I had to create something that I beat
myself at. The first time I did it, we filmed 12 days for 16 hours a day.
And when they went back to the edit bay and cut the movie together,
they realized I didn't lose bad enough. So they called me back a month
later and I had to go in and screw up more.

12天, 每天拍16小時, 當他們回到剪接室開始剪輯電影時, 他們才發現到我輸的
不夠慘! 結果一個月後他們又叫我回去重弄, 我只好回去弄一些聽起來更爛的

Jackson頭的(商標貼起來不幫人廣告), 或是Charvel Soloist型的(Jackson

Carvin X100B是八零年代Hair Metal的Amp名器, 早期吉他雜誌裡的廣告照片就是
Vai 拿這綠吉他站在Amp前, 後來改由Jason Becker和Marty Friedman代言, 最後
一批是當時麥克傑克森的超強女吉他手Jennifer Batten代言, 菜舖的黑狗網友前陣子
