Regarding the LP copy, if it were mine, I would disassemble it and wash it all down with Naphtha, which is the same agent as Ronson cigarette light fluid. Then take very fine steel wool and buff all the metal parts including the frets and fretboard. Once the fretboard is all cleaned up, then use lemon oil to rejuvenate the rosewood. A good rubbing of the entire painted neck and body with a car polish would make that guitar look brand new.
