「樂與怒」(rock and roll)流行歌手Eric Clapton是個傳奇人物，與民歌手Bob Dylan齊名。最近，Eric Clapton宣布寫回憶錄，由Doubleday公司出版。
2007年Eric Clapton在北美巡迴演唱的時候會推出這本回憶錄，同時推出他的CD精華歌集。Eric Clapton比較受歡迎的歌曲包括(Wonderful Tonight)，(Lay down Sally)和(Tears in Heaven)。
(Tears in Heaven)拿了格林美歌曲獎。1991年Clapton的兒子Conor墮樓死亡，這位流行樂大師寫了(Tears in Heaven)來紀念他。有兩句歌詞是這樣的：「Beyond the door; There’s peace I’m sure; And I know there’ll be no more; Tears in heaven(天堂大門裡面，我相信只會是一片寧靜。天堂內只有快樂，沒有悲哀)」。Clapton愛子之情，溢於言表。我們可以從這本回憶錄了解Clapton的一生，也可以回顧樂壇的點點滴滴。
