賀蘭的英文蠻標準流利的。 沒想到這首曲子是她寫的﹐這才真是叫有才華啊﹗沙漠嫂年輕時也很喜歡她﹐剛剛聽了錄音﹐讚美不已。
即使知道她住在那裡﹐除非她們邀請我﹐我不會冒然跑去的。我和沙漠嫂去過 Spokane WA ﹐15 年前我們差點在那裡買個小木門工廠。
我見到 投機者的 Nokie 也是他們邀請我去他的生日派對﹐我才去的。

我今天晚上打電話和賀蘭女士聊很久﹐她在Spokane, WA開一家日本餐館﹐如果你到 Spokane, WA出差或旅游﹐有空請到這家餐館﹐和賀蘭聊聊天, 她非常和藹可親

她女兒已經把我的貼文轉給她﹐所以她知道我寫的 Ukulele故事﹐她說當時常去金聲樂器行沒錯。
賀蘭女士很有語文天才﹐臺語非常流利﹐她是在鹿港長大﹐我告訴她我是新竹客家人﹐但在台北出生長大﹐她還和我說了幾句客家話﹐
我說今天聽了她的電話訪問才知道 “幽谷傳聲”是她作曲的﹐她說她寫了好多曲子包括“心願”等
我邀請她來菜鋪看看聊聊﹐並告訴她我的筆名是沙漠叔﹐她說怎麼這麼好玩﹐我相信她會上來看看。
最後問我有沒有買她的CD﹐我說一定買...

真的只學了幾個月?那個輕鬆自若的態度和眼花撩亂的指法...
難道這種東西真的很講天分嗎?太厲害了，我看好幾遍...他的手看起來真的軟到不可思議呀...

不用怕﹐也不要出冷汗。
賀蘭從18歲就當音樂老師﹐從事音樂工作﹐有一定的音樂基礎﹐相信古典吉它從小就彈的很好﹐再去學法明哥吉它比較快﹐賀蘭本身是很有天份﹐再加上專業﹐而且受到台灣聽眾的認可和鼓勵﹐會進步神速。
任何人包括明星(尤其是明星)都需要別人的鼓勵的。
我已經去CDBABY 買了賀蘭的 CD﹐收到聆聽後再和大家分享心得。

Wow Vincent, you sure made up for not buying that $10 ukulele. It's quite a collection you have there. I tried to hear some of the guitar sounds but the links seem to bring me to other videos instead.
I just arrived in Spokane yesterday and my mother told me she had spoken to you. She was delighted to know that someone still remembers her singing. I have seen your website chat with your friends but did not post because my Chinese is not very good. Please tell your friends hello, and please tell them that I think it's important to realize that even if the hair turns gray and the wrinkles add on, the spirit never grows old. I guess music is proof of that. I am going to work on getting my mother to write some new songs while I'm here this week.
Thank you for your contact info and the offer to show us around. I will keep it in mind when I visit the Chicago area one day!

In late '60, I was a poor college kid who could not afford anything. I remember that my first guitar was NT$80 but I had a lot fun playing with it.
I have kept my interest in guitars in the last 40 years and started to collect them about 5 years ago. I am not a very good guitarist but enjoy playing them.
I am glad you visited our forum. I will send your greetings to everyone in the forum for you. Hope your Mom will visit our forum too.
September will be a great time to visit Chicago. Every year, during Labor Day weekend, we have a Folk Festival in Geneva, IL (15 minutes from where I live) I think your Mom will enjoy it. I know the organizer and a few Folk Singers there and will introduce them to you and your Mom. Your Mom will enjoy singing with them. I posted a few photos and YouTube clips on our forum. Lee Murdock and Mark Dvorak are long time friends of mine.
Enjoy your stay in Spokane. Please say hello to your Dad (I think he answered the phone when I called) and tell your Mom it was such a honor and pleasure talking to her.
