It was a Solo competition, not a Zorro competition.

現場直擊 - Battle of the Bands 樂團比賽

上星期三晚上我去看了以前因為學生Ralph 的樂團“This Flight Tonight”.他們在今年的Battle of the bands 樂團比賽已經一路過關斬將的到了奧克蘭區的半決賽，那天剛好有空就去支持他們了。

每年的Battle of the bands 開始，很多金屬/硬搖滾團就會冒出來，當晚一共有六個樂隊演出而我看到的四團當中就有三個是。金屬不死啊 \m/ 哈哈。

這裡是一些我拍的表演片段的剪輯。 Check it out



This Flight Tonight



比較起來，我覺得This Flight Tonight在歌曲和主唱
的表現是較好的。 （不要說我偏心，哈哈）也看好他們會晉級下一輪的比賽，所以之後發現他們被刷下來時還蠻吃驚的。原來今年的觀眾印象分（crowd reaction) 的評分方式有了很大的改變；以往都是看現場觀眾的反映來打分，而今年則是採用投票制，每張入場票可以用來投給樂團，換句話說，那個樂團帶來的朋友越多就有更多的票（ 也提升了主辦單位的票房）.. So in a way it's almost like a “popularity” contest

雖然我能了解主辦單位的立場，但這個新的標準很可能會埋沒一些出色的樂隊。同樣是佔一半的分數，但以前的制度比起來還是公平些。 The more cheers you got the better your score is. Simple as that.

Anyway better luck next time TFT. You guys still rocked!

lol that's okay. but there are actually only 4 bands in the 2 Clips.
第一個視頻的第一個樂團還蠻tight, lots of energy too.
第二個的主唱就。 。 。 well no comment 哈哈
